TGIF Date Night Social Interactions - 1152 Words
This paper will detail the account of an observation of human interaction. It will include a brief description of the location, the setting, emotional atmosphere, the demographics of the people being observed and various other pertinent details. I will focus on and describe behaviors and interactions between the participants. In the paper I will also identify the unwritten rules of social interaction as they apply to the situation. The information gathered during the observation will be used to draw conclusion about the specific social interaction and how it may relate to all social interactions in general. TGI-Friday Date Night This observational study took place at the TGI-Fridays located at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland on two different occasions. The first was on Friday May 2nd 2014, between 8:00 and 9:30 pm. The restaurant was full of people and the atmosphere was jovial. There was an array of people for older professional people to teenagers from various racial and economic backgrounds. The second session on the following day, Saturday May 3rd 2014 between 2:30 and 3:30 pm, the restaurant was fairly crowded but the atmosphere was more relaxed and more family oriented. There was still however, a good mix of people. The dates and times were selected to encompass the different groups as well as the different mood that would be present in the restaurant due to the time of day.
